Chuck is an absolutely amazing owner. He will do everything in his power to make sure his contractors do the job on time and do the job right. Don’t want a wall there, or don’t like the design of something? You have a ton of leeway to adjust the plan that fits your needs! With a minimal binder (comparatively to house price) Chuck will start building your house, even before you have a contract on the one you are selling, it is non-refundable but considering he could have a pricey asset on his hands if you were to walk away from the purchase I find it more than reasonable. Other cookie cutter builders in town will require you to have a contract on your current house before they even pull permits, forcing you to find a rental in the mean time, good luck with that if you have pets. If I ever decide to build again in the future, even on my own land my FIRST phone call will be to see if Chuck is still building houses with Ashley Homes.
